Asif Naseem Tapped to Continue the Company’s Success and Drive Future Growth

Milwaukee (December 17, 2014) – The Board of Directors of Paragon Development Systems (PDS, Inc.), a technology solutions and services company, has named Asif Naseem as the company’s new President and CEO.

Asif Naseem has a Ph.D. in computer engineering and has been consulting with PDS since May 2014. Naseem has extensive experience leading software, systems and applications businesses for public and privately held companies, including AT&T Bell Labs, AT&T-NCR, Motorola and Oracle Corporation, along with multiple startups. He is also an M+Visión Visiting Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

At the beginning of 2014, a lot of people predicted it would be the year wearable technology really broke through. The promises of Google Glass and rumors of Apple Watch exited us, and we could already see the success of things like fitness bands. However, as the year is coming to a close, we now realize we were a little presumptuous. In fact, we can’t even be sure 2015 will be the year for wearables. There’s a lot of promises and hype surrounding wearable devices, but a closer look at their current popularity leaves their future up for debate.

Every day customers generate massive amounts of data through POS transactions, social media interactions, mobile devices and more. Much of this data is filled with valuable insights retailers can use to compete in crowded markets and boost the bottom line---but how to go about it?

Somewhere along the way, I admittedly lost sight of TYPO3. It's not that I ever thought TYPO3 wasn't a good content management system but it never seemed like there was ever a lot of exciting things to write about TYPO3. When a CMS has a history that dates all the way back to the late 1990', well it's difficult to shake it off as as anything but a legacy application. So in my slumber I failed to notice that there was a new CMS on the radar, TYPO3 Neos.

I was recently asked by the Argus Leader, a local newspaper in Sioux Falls, to give my two cents on the controversial South Dakota #DontJerkandDrive campaign. Since then the article has been syndicated out to USA Today and other publications. It seems that I caught the attention of a reporter when I labeled the campaign as "brilliant" on Twitter.
