New research from Mimecast finds that the role of the inbox is changing as users spend more than half their working day using email

Our good friend Cheryl McKinnon, founder of Candy Strategies, tweeted us about the latest news from the Open Source Alliance of Canada (OSACAN). The alliance is a non-profit organization, founded to promote, foster and sustain the use of open source technology in Canadian government. Yesterday, OSACAN announced the establishment of a center of excellence to promote the use of open source technology in the Canadian public sector.

I do not know when it exactly happened, but a number of years ago I decided to become a pacifist. I am a pacifist that is in the war of open source versus proprietary. In my opinion, the debate over licensing and software development processes is only mildly interesting as it is the quality of the end product that matters to me most. I walk the fine line of being an advocate for open source and a defender of proprietary software. Admittedly I've confused a lot of people that have chosen to take sides in this war. However, there is always room for reasonable civil discussions of any topic when new data and new perspective is given.

Accrisoft is one of the first CMS companies that convinced me that the cloud wasn't as scary as I thought for creating, hosting, and managing content management solutions.

That's a question that the IT staff at United will answer in time, but the mere fact that it can investigate all three client device operating systems is a major change for corporate IT.
