ASP.Net based mojoPortal 2.2.5.3 was released.  This release is a minor upgrade with a few bugs fixed  Also FCKeditor , a rich text editor, was upgraded to 2.6 and mojoPortal is now using ExtJs 2.0.2

The National Recycling Coalition (NRC) recently revamped their web site using mojoPortal.

The project was managed by DDB Seattle, which is part of DDB Worldwide Communications Group.

"The latest release of Mono, an open source implementation of Microsoft's .Net platform, bundles a Visual Basic compiler authored by Rolf Bjarne. The compiler -- itself written in Visual Basic -- will ease development and deployment of applications written in one of the most popular programing languages.

Visual Basic support in Mono isn't new. Past versions of Mono have bundled a VB runtime component that allows VB applications to run under Linux."

When open source projects becomes more popular the project leaders often need to increase the time spent on their projects. The increasingly popular Windows-based content management system (CMS), mojoPortal, is no exception to this rule. mojoPortal's project leader, Joe Audette, recently announced on his blog that he is currently making career changes show he can better nurture the mojoPortal project along:

I'm still currently working full time for Integration Management of Brentwood TN until November 15. After that I will still be doing some work for them but mainly launching Source Tree Solutions so I can devote more time to advancing mojoPortal. I'm very excited and full of ideas to take mojoPortal to the next level.

In other words, with mojoPortal now getting full time attention by its developers, don't be surprised to see some surprisingly good things to evolve from this CMS.

Last summer, we did a review of mojoPortal and the article continues to remain one of CMS Report's most read article to date. While mojoPortal may not always make the headlines, make no mistake that there is strong interest in this up and coming content management system.
